I received an email from a former Hawthorne Police Officer, Vince Lake Sgt #3, who hired on in 1957 and left HPD in 1967. He told me that the last person he knew on the Department was our own lovable Lumpy, Phil Heald. He gave me the following list of men he could remember. He added that the numbering system that we use today must have been started after he left as he was designated only as Sergeant #3. THANKS VINCE!
